Oceaneye
is the pursuit of quality imagery, capturing moments in ocean time; the waves, the wildlife, and the early sunrise.

Based in Sydney's Northern Beaches; we're big on nature and keen on the positive aspects that the culture of surfing represents.

As long-time entrepreneurs in the health and fitness industry; (we) Jules and Brad, decided to further engage our way of life by finding another legitimate reason to do business down on the beach.

Over the years we've met many like minded people who indulge in similar interests and ideals. Some have joined us here - contributing thoughts, and sharing their knowledge and individual talents through the lens. What we've ended up with is a creative consortium of passionate work in progress.

You can find this stuff throughout the site or within the Ocean illustrated slideshow - a stash of new images coupled with a few written insights based on all of the above. Subscribe and receive a reminder in your inbox once a month (of course its free) or Like our Facebook page to access additional galleries and regular updates.

We're stoked to be part of this lifestyle! Australia has a truly unique environment worth preserving, and we believe - a beach culture well worth documenting and sharing. So immerse yourself; if not here, then out there! and play it safe in the sun and take it easy out in the water.

My own affinity for the ocean was born whilst growing up in the rural country heartland of New Zealand.
It was here I would often find the fossilized remains of an ancient ecosystem in my own back yard; shells mostly, sometimes fishes, carved free by the rivers from the surrounding mountains and deep limestone cliffs. Decades later my view of the world has become a thought provoking process through the lens, an interpretation of what I see and perceive; largely inspired by nature - moving water, people, flying fish or some other weird and wonderful creature of the sea.

My love of the ocean started at the age of 10 on a trip to Queensland. I've been surfing ever since. Bodyboarding predominantly and only in recent years standing up. I was once a keen photographer, but have since passed on the photographic duties. My entrepreneurial side led to my partnership with Jules and Oceaneye being born. You'll usually find me behind the computer, inside a barrel or working at Primal Movement as a CHEK Practitioner. A holistic health professional that works specifically with surfers to improve their overall health and surfing performance.
